Champion 2015 Fall/Winter "Absent Without Leave" Lookbook by Alex Young

Champion's functional athleticwear carries a streetwear aesthetic provided by the brand's history and simplistic design. Their hoodies and sweatshirts do not need to be made cool, that quality is predicated on Champion's comfortability and imprint on popular culture. But, a lookbook shot by a UK based magazine adds a polished style to the label's 2015 Fall/Winter collection. Law (Lives And Works) Magazine spins its interpretation of iconic Champion in their "Absent Without Leave" lookbook photographed by Bafic in the streets of London. New pieces are constructed from Champion's durable Reverse Weave beautified with understated colors and a myriad of branding options. TRASHHAND Photographs LRG's "GROWN NOT MADE" Fall 2015 Lookbook by Alex Young

CIties were born from opportunity; masses of people surviving and thriving off a myriad of occupations, living and collaborating on streets. Skyscrapers cast shadows over neighborhoods, bridges dart across skies, and the hustle and bustle keeps its natives grounded. When the motion stops it is probably because somebody had a camera. Exploration of towns, streets, and neighborhoods present unique views to capture; the environment is a photographer's playground. Their world is attractive to the eye, it makes sense they find work pairing with corporations big and small to juxtapose products on city scenes. Employ masterful Chicago based photographer TRASHHAND and find yourself looking at commercial reality validated by the culture in the background.

Such is the case in his latest project with Lifted Research Group, a storied streetwear label. Thanks to the brand's EXPLORE MORE photography series, trash took to a foreign city to document LRG's "GROWN NOT MADE" Fall 2015 collection. Alleys, closed storefronts and iconic places around Tokyo-- like the vibrant "torii" gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine-- served as backdrops highlighting an assortment of sweats, jackets, button shirts, knits, and headwear. View some of the stunning images above and see more at TRASHHAND's site or Instagram. LRG's Fall 2015 offering is available here.

Disney x Uniqlo "Mickey Plays" Collection by Alex Young

Nobody exudes swag like Mickey Mouse; he is the original OG and the fitting mascot for Disney. Mickey's cool extends beyond his right-hand woman Minnie, his Clubhouse pals, and his illustrious work catalog, but into his own brand. Similar to Bugs Bunny Mickey Mouse's legend can be recognized and appreciated by many cultures, foremost being streetwear, hence the Disney x Uniqlo "Mickey Plays" collection. The Japanese retailer collaborates with the entertainment giant to deliver twelve graphic print t-shirts (eight mens and four kids) of the cartoon character in action. Mickey's poses impersonate Uniqlo's Global Ambassadors' signature stances, like tennis players Novak Djokovic and Kei Nishikori, as well as golf pro Adam Scott. Disney x Uniqlo "Mickey Plays" is available now here.
