Rome Fortune Featuring D.R.A.M. - 24-7

Philadelphia born rapper Rome Fortune carries a versatile sound with pleasant lucid beats that at times come across as trippy. His intriguing sound does not come as a surprise when the character walks into a room with an aqua-green beard covering his face. Fortune's engaging quality makes for catchy and relatable lyrics. Yesterday the rapper celebrated his 27th birthday releasing a new song called "24-7" with D.R.A.M., the man who sings "I like to cha cha, I like to cha cha with a Dominican..." The new track talks about the reluctance some have to commit to a relationship knowing the massive time and energy they consume. "I'm good on your love if it's 24-7," D.R.A.M. sings in the hook. The Revenant Starring Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio is in search of an elusive Oscar from the Academy Awards. While he has starred in a number of films that received Oscars for Best Picture, like Titanic in 1997 and The Departed in 2007, the Academy has yet to acknowledge DiCaprio's individual excellence. However, fans and film buffs know the actor is capable of reaching the mountaintop-- use his five nominations for Best Actor as evidence, the last thanks to a greedy, cheat named Jordan Belfort. When asked in a 2014 interview just before the 86th Academy Awards, "How much would you love to win that Oscar?" DiCaprio very politically responds, "One thing I've learned a long time ago is you have absolutely no control of that... All you could do is really try your best." There is no sense in worrying about things he cannot control, but viewers sense his disappointment each time he falls short.

"Try, try and try again," I imagine adorns one of DiCaprio's walls in his living quarters. His next shot at Best Actor will come via the film The Revenant directed by Academy Award-winner Alejandro González Iñárritu. The picture tells the tale of frontiersman Hugh Glass (played by DiCaprio), a fur trapper now tagged as a folk hero due to his mid-winter, cross-country trek after being mauled by a bear that he kills. Modern interpretation has Glass's friend John Fitzgerald (played by Tom Hardy) abandon him and kill his son after the bear attack, forcing Glass to seek revenge.

Photographer Sage Sohier Captures Same-sex Couples in the 1980s

Thanks to the United States Supreme Court's ruling on June 26, same-sex couples have the Constitutional right to marry. This victory for the gay rights movement shines light on the importance of individual equality, acceptance and understanding the world is concerned with today; the victory shows stark contrasts of how far society has come since the Stonewall riots in 1969 and the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. 

In her book, At Home with Themselves: Same-sex Couples in 1980s America, Photographer Sage Sohier examines 1986 when mass media and the public blamed AIDS' outbreak on same-sex promiscuity. She says of her project, "The advent of the disease led me to think about the prevalence, variety and longevity of gay and lesbian relationships... My ambition was to make pictures that challenged and moved people." In the '80s it was common to keep same-sex relationships discreet and away from ridicule due to the persecution and discrimination of the time.

Personally Sohier was impacted upon discovering in the late '70s her Father was gay. Her photographs are sparked by curiosity about homosexual life, set in and around cities in Massachusetts, like Provincetown and Boston, as well as others across the country. Honest, personal images appear depicting natural interactions between couples themselves and other people in their lives, such as parents and children.

Mac Miller - Speed Racer

Mac Miller is back in the limelight thanks to the release of his latest album GO:OD AM that came after a two and a half year hiatus complete with seclusion. In his latest press run for the album he describes how he basically locked himself in a studio and simply made quality music, scrapping anything not up to par. This process surely birthed songs that were good, but did not quite meet GO:OD AM's standards. That is okay because leftovers taste better the next day anyways; late Thursday night a new track titled "Speed Racer" debuted on SoundCloud. Produced by Chase N. Cashe, the song is a product of Mac Miller's unmatched work ethic.
