Supreme x Air Jordan 5 Official Release Date by Alex Young

Supreme and Air Jordan is an imperial collaboration. Both brands credit the golden era of popular culture, the 1990s, for their success and the history that makes them icons today. Representing different realms of sport, skate and basketball, Supreme and Air Jordan stand as symbols for trendy, observant and proud people accepting of unique lifestyles. Air Jordan 1s and Supreme's "Box Logo" tee forms a crisp, youthful uniform for an absorbent person. These qualities make the Supreme x Air Jordan 5 a mark of creative excellence.

When the sneaker was first designed in 1990 the application of a reflective tongue designed to light up with camera flashes was created to grab attention. Supreme and Air Jordan carry out this pizzazz with three new versions of the AJ 5 done in black, camouflage and white colorways. The icons' branding details the shoes: an underlaid Supreme logo, "94" is embroidered on the heel paying homage to 'Preme's birth year and accents, like 3M hints and a custom hang tag.

Purchase the Supreme x Air Jordan 5 Friday, Oct. 16 online and at Supreme's London location, as well as Saturday, Oct. 17 in Japan. Happy hunting.

Introducing, Piers James - 80's Baby by Alex Young

Rap from the United Kingdom is no fad, it is creeping across United States radio waves, playlists and into ears around the world. UK rap is as ostentatious, proud, reflective and dirty as its founding counterpart. A sub-genre called Grime fronts the crowd along with boom bap and contemporary stylings from artists like Skepta, Little Simz, Jay Prince and Danny Seth.

No need to yell, "The British are coming," because they are already here. On the horizon, however, ready to make his entrance into Boston Harbor is Piers James. Hailing from London the rapper separates himself from his British cohorts thanks to melodic and relaxed vintage sounds influenced by '90s hip-hop. Here highlights Piers' first release in 2015, "80's Baby". The song is an example of progress in his skill and popularity, his growth will garner him more attention here in the U.S.

Introduce yourself to Piers James and "80's Baby," the first single from his upcoming Green Screens In Visible View EP, below. Explore more of his work on his SoundCloud and website.

Rome Fortune Featuring D.R.A.M. - 24-7 by Alex Young

Philadelphia born rapper Rome Fortune carries a versatile sound with pleasant lucid beats that at times come across as trippy. His intriguing sound does not come as a surprise when the character walks into a room with an aqua-green beard covering his face. Fortune's engaging quality makes for catchy and relatable lyrics. Yesterday the rapper celebrated his 27th birthday releasing a new song called "24-7" with D.R.A.M., the man who sings "I like to cha cha, I like to cha cha with a Dominican..." The new track talks about the reluctance some have to commit to a relationship knowing the massive time and energy they consume. "I'm good on your love if it's 24-7," D.R.A.M. sings in the hook. Listen to "24-7" below and happy belated, Mr. Fortune.

The Revenant Starring Leonardo DiCaprio by Alex Young

Leonardo DiCaprio is in search of an elusive Oscar from the Academy Awards. While he has starred in a number of films that received Oscars for Best Picture, like Titanic in 1997 and The Departed in 2007, the Academy has yet to acknowledge DiCaprio's individual excellence. However, fans and film buffs know the actor is capable of reaching the mountaintop-- use his five nominations for Best Actor as evidence, the last thanks to a greedy, cheat named Jordan Belfort. When asked in a 2014 interview just before the 86th Academy Awards, "How much would you love to win that Oscar?" DiCaprio very politically responds, "One thing I've learned a long time ago is you have absolutely no control of that... All you could do is really try your best." There is no sense in worrying about things he cannot control, but viewers sense his disappointment each time he falls short.

"Try, try and try again," I imagine adorns one of DiCaprio's walls in his living quarters. His next shot at Best Actor will come via the film The Revenant directed by Academy Award-winner Alejandro González Iñárritu. The picture tells the tale of frontiersman Hugh Glass (played by DiCaprio), a fur trapper now tagged as a folk hero due to his mid-winter, cross-country trek after being mauled by a bear that he kills. Modern interpretation has Glass's friend John Fitzgerald (played by Tom Hardy) abandon him and kill his son after the bear attack, forcing Glass to seek revenge.

See The Revenant on December 25 in limited theatres and on January 7, 2016 when it receives a wider release. Enjoy the trailer above.
